G'day. This will be my workings page for a flash series I am aiming to have up and running. The series will take place in post-World War 3 Antarctica, where nuclear radiation fallout has wiped out Humans, and the penguins have evolved into the dominant species of the planet. Marvelled at the Human junk left behind, they attempt to build a life for themselves...and usually cause problems.
Main Characters
Steve - Steve is the protagonist in most of the episodes. Like most of the other penguins, he's a mutated Emporer Penguin with blue feathers and teeth. He tends to be heavily sarcastic and laid back about everything, even though he tends to be the reason most of the trouble starts. He is attracted to Tiffany, unaware that she's actually his mother's twin sister, who along with his father, got eaten by rabid killer whales when he was a baby and survived the cold by being cuddled in the rear of a giant arctic stunk. Although he claims to fear nothing, he has a extensive list of phobias, with at least a new one being introduced each episode. His buddies are Bernie and Utah.
Tiffany - Tiffany is the only penguin in Antarctica that cares about how the Humans had died (although she refers to them as Huge Monkeys). She makes it a personal goal of hers to understand every facet of the Huge Monkey way of living, and tried to incorporate the ways into her life. She is laughed and ridiculed for this, however, she is usually the first to come up with a idea derived from Huge Monkey technology that the other penguins attempt to duplicate. She is aware Steve has feelings for her, and is waiting for him to make the moves. Tiffany has gone to extremes such as getting him blind drunk and hyped on a kilo of mutated marijuana in attempt for him to ask her out, but usualy fails in unexpected ways.
Plarg - A penguin bent on world domination via the use of an army of baby turtles. He is mentally unstable, and thus his threats go ignored despite all the planning and evidence he shows the rest of the penguin community. Plarg literally hates Steve, and often expresses his desire to eat his spleen while watching 'Neighbours' as a form of torture, but is then usually frightened by Steve's pet Frilled Neck Lizard ("Cuddles"). He has a secret underground igloo in a location that keeps changing, including an unfortunate experience of putting it in the center of a volcano.
Bernie - The village idiot according to the village, the genius according to Steve, and the decoy according to Utah. He was dropped on his head when a baby from 50ft, force-fed wild mushrooms when a few months old, and got invovled in heavy drinking when he was two years old. Like Steve, he was brought up with no parents, and survived the cold nights in a cactus plant he hollowed out. On Wednesdays and Fridays, he is known for his three-hours of non-stop sliding up and down the main roads with a baby cactus strapped to his back, and on Thursdays, he spends his time fishing for Wobbegongs in a glass of vinegar. However, for some unknown reason, he is able to assembled complicated machines for desired tasks that have a habit of exploding exactly after the mission is done.
Utah - Utah is the most violent of the group, with experience in martial arts and hockey-stick fighting. As a job, he teaches baby penguins how to defend themselves. Utah was once a member of the Artcic Penguin Army (APA), but was dismissed from acive duty after viciously and savagely attacking his own platoon, drill instructur, training camp general and the King during a weapons exercise. He is a good comrade of Steve, and usually uses Bernie as either a Decoy or as a sheild. His violent nature comes from eating too much brocoli and drinking Red Bull. When these two food products combine, Utah becomes a superheroish violent penguin, seemingly unstoppable. He has currently five wives and over a hundred kids.
Supporting Characters
King Emporer the Onety - The leader of the penguin community ("leader" used in the broadest sense). Typically, King Emporer the Onety would just sit around all day, and have his staff fill him in on whats happening, which usually doesn't register. Whenever the "leader" of the penguin tribe is asked for, King Emporer the Onety would declare he is the leader, and once he's heard what is wanted of him, he would then call for a intermission, and listen to his team of advisors that are really after the position of power for themselves.
Paagal - Leader of the mutated seals, number 1 enemy against the mutated penguins. They don't eat penguins anymore, they just want to use them for bait for giant squids despite the thousands of options around them. Steve and Paagal are old enemies.
Kluucrio - An alien that crash landed a long time ago, and lives seperate from the penguins. He documents their behaviour for transmissions back to his home planet, unaware that his equipment is faulty, and is recording false information. The penguins ignore him no matter what he does, and any interference he causes they usually blame it on natural events. It remains to be seen if the penguins can actually see him
