Working with Anna, Nick G and Rahim on the video montage, based on Nick’s story, which we voted as the most interesting. The aim of the project is to create a three-shot montage, in any length we need.

The first day of shooting (aka today) didn’t go as planned…if you ignore the camera malfunctioning and bad timing of a car reversing and someone standing behind it, everything went swell…ish.

We’re going to try and film in our spare time if we can find a day everyone is free

Project: NovaRelic

Currently, I am with a small group and we are attempting to put together a new type of MMO game. I can’t reveal much at the moment, but picture this

Command and Conquer + Homeworld + Master of Orion 3 + Half Life + Spore + Knights of the Old Republic

Current Projects 12:20 am

In Graham’s class, we are to redesign a menu for a DVD. I am currently planning to redesign the menu for ‘Shark Attack 3: Megalodon’. Their menu is somewhat boring, with a background still picture of a shark eating a surfer on a beach, which actually doesn’t occur in the film, with three buttons on the bottom (Play, Scene Selection, Trailers).

I am currently planning the DVD menu to have a shark’s jaw (i own a mako shark jaw so I will use that) as a frame, with megalodon teeth (using my megalodon fossil tooth as the image) as buttons. When someone clicks a button, my design would include a shark rushing quickly towards the screen, and biting, with a ‘crack’ in the screen to give the impression of 3D

Project ‘Sky Dodge’ - Flash Assignment

Working with Nick and Sarah, we are developing a flash game basically when the player must fly a ship out of enemy tertritory. The ship is a recon ship, meaning very little offensive capabilities. The weapons (if any) will be things to repulse/reflect enemy fire.

The style of the game is a scrolling shooter game, with in-tie movies to connect missions to create a story for the game.

Estimated time till completion: 2 weeks

As of this second/minute/hour as I write this blod, this is what i’ve accomplished so far in this semester with Mark…

  • Studying international film/writing a film-analytical essay on ‘The Diving Bell and the Butterfly’
  • Creating a storyboard for a 30second advertisement off the TV
  • Given references on film terminology, technology and industry (paper handouts)
  • Currently in the process of editing the short film project we begun a few weeks ago. The project is using three screens to tell the story at the same time (in real time), with the middle screen never moving and focused on the central object of the stories. In this case, a newspaper
