Crude Control: The Second Attempt at the First Episode
The second Crude Control episode, but taking on a majorily different tone and style from the first one. This is a bit of a experiment for me, as I have mainly done comical style vidoes in the past. This one is intended to be more serious and on a larger scale opposed to just being a car on the side of a road with very little camera movement.
As the title suggests, ‘Second Attempt of the First Episode’, this will be a alternative to the style done originally. Depending on which audiences liked more will determine what will be continued on with.
Jedd Nooy, the voice actor of the car in the previous film, has agreed to return as his character.
Al Thompson will be played by someone other then the director this time. However, I may return if no one else can really fill the part
Other characters include a rich businessman/criminal who is after the car, Al’s Ex-Girlfriend, the rich person’s head henchman, and various extras.
The story is about a group of criminals who used to own the car, and thought it was lost, along with the files the car helped them steal. Once they learn its in possession of Al Thompson, they commit themselves to regaining the car at all costs.
Scenes I want to include in this is a car chase scene, which will be done on the freeway; a scene where the car charges through a group of people (if I can get a few people brave enough to jump out of the way of a moving car), and ending on a cliffhanger.
Special effects will greatly improve in this episode. With the use of Corel Video Studio Pro X2 which can mask videos or do green screen effects, I intend to ‘jazz up’ the car a bit of a HUD-like windscreen in some scene, as well as something more interactive then just blinking lights to display the car talking.
Unlike the previous episode, there will be no interaction between the cast and crew, and jumping from pre-production to current production. It’ll be a more serious, dramatic and action-like story. There will be some humour, but won’t be central.
For music, I have already picked out Ashielf Pi from E.S. Posthumus for the trailer, and for the film’s central theme, I’ve picked out Nineveh by E.S. Posthumus and Katana Groove by Tomoyasu Hotei. Any additional music required I will call upon either the rock group Human Jack or musician Prince Estaris.
I estimate the running time will be 10-15mins. Filming has been proposed to start in early January.
